Cagliano Raffaella
Full Professor
Raffaella Cagliano is a Full Professor of People Management and Organisation at the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano.
She is Head of the Department of Management Engineering and a member of the Board of Directors of the POLIMI Graduate School of Management.
She is a Fellow of the European Operations Management Association (EurOMA), of which she was President from 2010 to 2013.
She is a recognised researcher for her studies on organisational models and their relationship with technological innovation, with a particular focus on Operations and the Supply Chain; she also works on sustainability-oriented innovation, particularly in relation to the agri-food supply chain.
She is Co-Scientific Director of the Food Sustainability Lab at the POLIMI School of Management.
She is the author of several books and over 60 articles published in international journals. Several of her works have received awards for their excellence.
She is Associate Editor of the International Journal of Operations and Production Management and the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, and Co-Editor-in-Chief of Studi Organizzativi.

Research
Raffaella Cagliano developed an intense research activity around the following themes: Innovation of organizational models and paradigms in Operations; Manufacturing and Supply Chain Strategies; Sustainability oriented innovation.
Recently she is studying collaborations for Sustainability Oriented Innovation in the agri-food supply chains and new organizational models for Industry 4.0.
She is co-director of the Food Sustainability Observatory and contributes to the Industry 4.0 Observatory of Politecnico di Milano.
She is an active member of the European Operations Management Association and part of Scientific Committee of the EurOMA Sustainable Operations and Supply Chains Forum.
