The Bovisa Campus

The Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering is located on the Bovisa campus of the Politecnico di Milano. The area is known for the presence of former gasometers and was recovered, redeveloped and enlarged following an international competition launched in 1998 by the Politecnico di Milano in collaboration with the Municipal Council and the Regional Government. In 2023, the foundation stone was laid for the redevelopment of the entire “gasometer park” area, with the aim of creating a 40,000-square-metre university citadel that will become an innovation centre for companies and start-ups, with green spaces and a four-storey wellness and sports centre open to the entire city.

How to reach us by train

There are three main stations in the centre of Milan: Cadorna, Stazione Centrale (central station) and Porta Garibaldi.

From Cadorna

  • Take the metro (M2 green line or M1 red line) to Cadorna station.
  • Take a train that stops at Bovisa-Politecnico, choosing from: S3 (direction Saronno), S4 (direction Camnago Lentate), XP1 (direction Milano Malpensa).

From Porta Garibaldi

  • Take the metro (M2 green line or M5 lilac line) to Porta Garibaldi station.
  • Take a train that stops at Bovisa-Politecnico or Villapizzone. For Bovisa Politecnico: S13 (direction Bovisa), S1 (direction Saronno), MPX (direction Milano Malpensa). For Villapizzone: S5 (direction Varese), S6 (direction Novara).

From Stazione Centrale

  • Take the Malpensa Express towards Malpensa. Get off at Milano Bovisa.
  • Alternatively, you can take the green line (M2) to Cadorna station.

From Duomo (the cathedral)

  • Take the red metro (M1) and get off at Cadorna.
  • Take a train in the direction of Bovisa Politecnico.

How to reach us from the airports

From Linate Airport

  • Take bus 73 (direction Duomo).
  • Get off at Duomo and take the red metro (M1) in the direction of Rho Fiera/Bisceglie.
  • Get off at Cadorna and take the train to Milano Bovisa.

From Malpensa Airport

Take the Malpensa Express and get off at Milano Bovisa.
