Jinou’s primary research interest lies in the social impact of supply chains, including supply chain ethics and labour conditions, as well as the social implications of supply chain circular transitions. Her recent work examines the structural conditions of global production, including labour conditions, power asymmetries, and the perspectives most often marginalised in both practice and scholarship. She is particularly interested in interpretivist and constructivist methods, critical management studies, and feminist approaches, with a commitment to plurality, contextuality, and reflexivity in how knowledge is produced.

Her research also covers supply chain technology adoption and inter-organisational relationships, with a particular focus on how capabilities and resources are formed, distributed, or withheld across supply chains undergoing transformation, and what these transitions mean for the people and communities embedded within them.
