PRISMA - apPRocci Integrati per la geStione della conoscenza dei fattori di rischio nell’ ecosisteMA della SSL

The PRISMA project aims to address the complex issue of preventing workplace accidents and occupational diseases, which have significant social and economic impacts.

Funded by INAIL and coordinated by the University of Salento, the initiative focuses on analysing the organisational weaknesses underlying adverse events, while integrating recent regulatory developments in supervision and training to promote more effective corrective action.

The partnership includes Politecnico di Milano, ATS Brianza, ATS Insubria, the University of Bologna, SPISAL Pedemontana and Unitelmasapienza.

The Department of Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, under the direction of Prof. Guido Micheli and Prof. Gaia Vitrano, is aimed at developing operational and digital tools to improve the management and understanding of risk factors, particularly for SMEs. This multidisciplinary and integrated approach shall facilitate the monitoring of workplace health and safety (OSH) processes.

Within the project, a model will be implemented to analyse the organisational component of adverse events using information from judicial sources. There will also be experimentation with actions to support communication flows within institutional networks, including oversight functions.

Furthermore, digital tools will be developed based on the integrated analysis of data from risk factor surveillance systems. These tools are intended to raise awareness and provide training for key figures in the OSH ecosystem, paying particular attention to organisational effectiveness and the monitoring of business processes related to occupational health and safety.
