Edoardo Palmitessa focuses on research related to the design of production systems, with a strong emphasis on the principles of Concurrent Engineering for products and manufacturing processes. His main interests include the use of simulation and digital modeling—particularly Discrete-Event Simulation (DES) and Virtual Reality (VR)—to support early-stage design and decision-making.

He is also passionate about Industrial Asset Management and the application of Digital Twin technologies in manufacturing environments.
