Samia Alam is a PhD candidate at the Department of Management Economics and Industrial Engineering of Politecnico di Milano.

Her research focuses on entrepreneurial finance, financial intermediation, and digital platforms, examining how early-stage ventures sequence and access financial resources.

She has contributed to the national GRINS project, developing data infrastructures on venture capital and digital finance, which strengthened her empirical research skills. Samia’s work explores how emerging financing channels, such as equity crowdfunding, reshape investor behavior, market dynamics, and the role of financial intermediaries
