Cigolini Roberto

Professore Ordinario

Roberto Cigolini is a professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management at the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano with a focus on Global Supply Chain Planning. His main interests are primarily related to integrated business planning, AI in supply chain management, sales and operations planning, and production planning and control. He is the director of the Global Executive master’s in Operations and Supply Chain Management (GEMOS) at GSOM – the Graduate School of Management of Politecnico di Milano and a member of the MBA Academic Advisory Board of TIAS School for Business and Society (The Netherlands). He is an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois (Chicago, IL, US) and was previously a guest professor at Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN, US) and Eada Business School, Barcelona (Spain). He is also a member of the teaching body of the PhD program in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano and a founding member of the Technical Committee on Semiconductor Factory Automation (IEEE Robotics and Automation Society). He is a member of the editorial board of Production Planning and Control Journal. Over the years, he has provided advice to several companies in the field of operations and supply chain management, and he has been a founding partner of Masterplan Consulting Ltd. for almost two decades.
