Matteo Kalchschmidt is Full Professor of Business Management and Organization at the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano.
His research interests are focused on Global and Sustainable Supply Chain Management and the impacts of Digitalization.
He is an active member of the European Operations Management Association (EurOMA).
He authored several international publications in Operations and Supply Chain Management journals and is participating to severalEditorial Boards of scientific journals in operations

His research interests are in the field of Operations and Supply Chain Management, with particular attention to Demand management, Global value chains, Sustainable supply chain management, and Digitalization in operations.
Recently his attention has been devoted to the impact of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence on Decision Making processes.
He is an active member of the European Operations Management Association and co-chair of the 2025 annual conference of the Association.
