Masoud Jalayer is an Assistant Professor of Informatics at the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering, Politecnico di Milano.

Before, he completed two postdoc fellowships at the ACIS lab and dept. of ECE, University of Victoria / UBC, working on Digital Twinning, Fault Diagnosis, eXplainable AI, and Extended Reality in collaboration with Mitacs Canada, NSERC Canada, NTWIST, Düspohl, Encoway and Fraunhofer.

As a postdoc researcher at Unilever Canada, he focused on AI for Demand Forecasting and Customer Segmentation.

Masoud received his Ph.D. from PoliMi for his work on AI-based Fault Detection and Diagnosis.

He also worked on Intelligent Automatic Visual Inspection at EPFL, Mechanical Engineering Section.
