Ricerca

Her primary area of research is corporate investment in the arts and cultural heritage sector. During her PhD, she investigated the paradoxical contradictions and tensions that emerge when arts are imported into a non-arts organisation (e.g. a for-profit company that is not naturally part of the arts milieu) for value creation purposes. She also developed three strategies for maintaining a tolerable duality between arts and management over time. She is now broadening her scope of interest to examine how corporate investments in the arts can be designed, organised and evaluated as part of companies' sustainability agendas.

Of the various types of corporate art investment, she is particularly interested in corporate museums and archives, which preserve the history of companies. She studies these strategic assets in the context of firms' value creation, supporting marketing, communication and innovation processes.

Her minor research area is the organisational challenges arising from the digital transformation of public institutions. She is interested in the role of middle managers in large public institutions, such as government agencies but also museums, in translating digital transformation strategy throughout the organisational structure.
